Description: Located between a beach and a large grove of liquid ambar trees, Yonca (pronounced 'Yonja') Lodge is open twelve months of the year. Yonca Lodge is a member of the Pastoral Life Project and as well as the normal range of beach activities at the Lodge, you can also get a taste of traditional Anatolian life at the eco-farm, Pastoral Valley, located in the same village. Yonca Lodge lies in a region that has been settled for thousands of years and Lycian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman sites are all within easy reach. As are the deserted village of Kaya Köyü, the wonderful beach at Ölüdeniz, Saklikent Gorge, Butterfly Valley and numerous beautiful bays and islands. Yonca Lodge is 40 km. from Dalaman Airport and 15 km. from the centre of Fethiye.Yonca Lodge, lies in an orchard fronted by a beach where the loggerhead turtles have laid their eggs for millions of years. The Lodge has 10 rooms which can accommodate a maximum of 24 people. The suites comprise a bedroom, bathroom, sitting area and terrace featuring air-conditioning, television, small refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer and wireless internet connection.In the restaurant they use produce from our certificated organic garden and all fish is fresh caught locally. They offer the guests the chance to taste traditional Mediterranean dishes and local specialities cooked in copper pans.Some activities you can do are; boat Trips( islands, the lighthouse on Red Island, try snorkelling ) ,nature walks( Stroll along the beach bordered with liquid ambar trees or follow the path alongside the Kargi River to reach a deserted canyon ) ,bike rides ( Ride a bike along the network of dirt tracks in the neighbourhood ),organic farming ( Pick fruit and vegetables in the garden and help make pomegranate water, molasses or 'tarhana' a Turkish speciality of dried curds and flour which is used to make soup in the winter. ) and handicrafts.
